Signs your Wasaga Beach basement needs waterproofing
Puddles are the late sign. Most Wasaga-area basements tell you earlier if you know what to look for after snowmelt.

Early signs
Musty air when you open a seasonal place. White mineral staining on concrete. Paint that bubbles at the bottom of a wall. Rust at the base of a steel post. A crack that looks dry until you put your hand on it in March.
Active leaks
Water at the wall–floor joint after snowmelt. Window wells that hold a pond in sand. A cold cellar that weeps. Carpet or stored gear that never quite dries along one wall.
What not to do
Do not rely on interior waterproof paint on a wall that is taking a high water table. Do not run a dehumidifier and call it solved. Those buy time. They do not move the water.
